Scouting that works without a signal.

Vantage holds event schedules, rankings, match results and your team’s own scouting on the phone, so none of it depends on venue wifi. Everyone on the team scouts into one shared group.

The same board, with the wifi off.

Every event has the same problem: three hundred people on one access point, and the moment you need a schedule is the moment nothing loads. Vantage writes what it fetches to the device, so opening a screen reads from the phone rather than the network.

What that buys you is the ten minutes before a match. Your next opponent’s record, your own scouting notes, the pick list your team has been building all day — all of it opens standing in the queue, on one bar of signal or none.

The rating on the board above is computed here, not borrowed. It was tested against every match of a full season, alongside three rivals fitted on the same split, and the result is published whether or not it flatters us.

Underlined — best in column Bold — Vantage Points Brier: lower is better

Read the last row honestly: Vantage Points is the worst pure predictor of the four, by five thousandths of a Brier score. It is also the only one whose number barely moves with who you happened to be randomly paired with — 7.7% partner luck against 13.9% for the next best, and 32.8% for the average-score method most spreadsheets use. A ranking exists to say how good a team is, not to win a betting market. That is the trade this rating makes on purpose.

    What it does.

    Offline

Event schedules, rankings, match results and your own scouting live on the device. They are not fetched when you open them, so venue wifi is never in the way.

    Shared scouting

Your team scouts into one group and everyone sees it, instead of five people filling in five spreadsheets that nobody merges before alliance selection.

    Live match data

Schedules, results and rankings update while the event is still running, from the official VEX API. No account, no API key, nothing to configure.

    Match alerts

Your next match, with the time, the field and who you are playing. It fires when the previous match ends rather than on a guess at the schedule.

    Pick lists

Star a team while you are scouting it and it lands in your list, ordered and ready before selection starts.

    Cost

Free. There is no paid tier, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. It was built for one team and turned out to be worth sharing.

Bring it to your next event.
